    Kaboom… Hooray! is a comedy troupe for the alternative mind: standup, sketch and character-based comedy that’s like nothing else in Calgary. Where else could you see "Banana Shout" or “Spit Cops”? Founded in 2010 and produced by Alan Cho and Jeff Kubik, the first Kaboom… Hooray! Comedy! was performed in the basement of the Calgary Unitarian Church. After sold-out shows and a lot of very flattering buzz, the show changed into its current form as KABOOM! Kaboom… Hooray! will still be producing other independent shows throughout the year.

  • KABOOM!

    KABOOM! is a monthly comedy showcase at Calgary’s Yuk Yuk’s in the Elbow River Casino on the first Wednesday of every month. Featuring standup, sketch and robots (sometimes), every KABOOM! is a brand new mix of comics and material. (We really do have a robot. He’s made of cardboard.) Tickets are $10 at the door, $5 for students. To reserve tickets, call the Yuk Yuk's box office at 403-258-2028 or email kaboom.hooray.comedy{at}gmail.com with the subject line "Reserve!"
